Background
Large scale site remediation of an illegal dump site containing approx. 290,000 cubic meters of construction and demolition waste.
The site comprised of a variety of unknown and known chemical hazards including contaminated soils and asbestos.
Objective
To reduce the risk of contamination leaving the site via truck wheels, undercarriages and onto the local roads.
Solution
PR Water were commissioned to supply and establish a fully automatic permanent Truck Wheel Wash onsite.
Installation of the below ground, permanent truck wheel wash system to thoroughly clean the undercarriage of all vehicles leaving the site.
Daily average vehicle movements off site was approximately 40 trucks and trailers.
