Background
A new housing estate wet land area had filled with water due to recent high rainfall in Melbourne. All site work was disrupted and delayed as a result. In order to continue, the site needed to be drained and a water management plan put in place.
Objective
PR Water were contacted to come up with a solution and supply their range of Siltbuster water treatment solutions to operate within the dewatering management criteria set by the City Council and the EPA (Environmental Protection Authority).
Solution
PR Water provided x2 HB60 Lamella Clarifier’s coupled to an automatic Dosing Skid System with remote monitoring.
- pH levels and flow rate were controlled at 31 cubic meters an hour and 8.0 pH.
- Turbidity reduced from 500 NTU to 30 NTU to meet all permit requirements.
